Default Found a nice one today !

I had to go to a co. meeting today and the boss man was showing me an old barn that we will be using for storage when i found this cool old blobtop bottle ! It's 6 inches tall and is embossed "Norwich bottling works,Norwich New York " It has some type of stopper ?? with a metal ring that looks like it would have been pulled up to seal it and has alot of air bubbles.Anyone know what it may be worth ? I did a quick search on ebay and the web but couldent find anything.

It's a BAIL TOP Beer bottle from around the mid to late 1800's. maybe into the early 1900's.

There were many many made with amber glass during that period. Your bottle in really good shape should fetch around $20.00-$25.00

Thanks Pappy, that was about what i was thinking,,although someone looking for that particular co. may pay a little more.I might let it go to my brother as he collects bottles, but i kinda like how it looks on my shelf.

Pretty bottle rip. Think there may be more at the old barn?
