Default Not a bottle collector...

but here are a couple I found today while digging for other things...the small one, I have not idead about the only markings are the number 583 at the bottom edge of the bottle.

The other is apparently a JP Ritter Company bottle that held, most likely, ketchup. I guess some of our friends from PA can give us insight to the JP Ritter Company out of Philly.

Don't know the ages, but thought both were interesting and that I would share with you all.

If anyone wants them for their collections, let me know and I will try and get them to you.

Pictures are posted, also included a small blue bottle I have not been able to identify.

very nice bottles. the little blue one could be a bromo seltzer bottle. Any markings at all? I believe mr silver is the bottle expert. maybe if you PM him he could help. WTG

Thanks GG, The little blue bottle has on the bottom if it, a triangle within a triangle with the number 7 on the side of the triangle, its a neat little bottle about 3 1/2 inches tall. I may give Mr Silver a shout out and see if he knows anything about those bottles thank you for the tip.

I'm not sure but the blue one may be a "vicks vapor rub" bottle. Been a long time since I was into bottle digging but that is what popped into my mind. (weak area these days) Have a great day and the best of luck......Richard

Hi exnavy guy. I think that Gizmo had it mostly right pegging it as a Vick's bottle. I think the product that it held was liquid drops for stuffiness called Vatrol-nol. Here is a link to capped similar bottles on Ebay.

3 Cobalt antique Vicks Va-trol-nol medicine bottles - (eBay item 250166763662 end time Sep-25-07 16:38:37 PDT)

HH all,
HJ
