Welcome to the site! Very glad to have you join us! You are for sure in a history rich area for digging.
As to places to dig for old bottles. If possible check the local Library for old sites like an old soda fountain (pharmacy, or drug stores). Maybe talk to an old timer about where the old stores used to be? In any event good luck to you, Beale.
