Question When were screw top bottles invented?

Hello. I have a dug "Father John's" bottle, but it appears to have a screw top. When were screw top bottles invented? thanks.

Default Screw Top Bottles

The external screw threads were first used during the 19th century. One of the first was the 1858 MASON JAR.
Continuous screw thread was first used on Heinz catsup in 1925....PAPPY
