Default Civil War Lead?

Pappy,

Found this on the way to hunt the spot I have been pulling my silver from lately. It is round and appears to be lead. The weight on it is 5/8oz or 16 grams. Hope you can help ID.

Thanks for the replies. I thought so but have never dug one. Don't know too much about troop movements in this area but I also found a haversack button in the field across the street. Guess I need to talk with some of the old-timers around for more info. Happy Hunting all.
