Question silver coin 1 3/8 inch dia

HELLOOOOOOOO PAPPY,
I found this in a park in troy grove, IL. It looks like is was just lost, so I think it's not too old. I found also 2q, 2n, and 2p. It this worth anything?
I think it is siver and it s 1 3/8" dia. and weighs 16 grams on the nose.
Any ideas on this one? It has no date, that I can read.
What I can read: Italy Joanne Pavlvs I Pont Max and on the back: Roma Citta Del Vaticano and Pieta.

I have looked for a while online and have had no luck yet, Thanks in advance,
Happy Hunting,
Joe Kerchner

The reason I think it is solid silver is beacus it reads 44 on my xterra-70, that is what my other silver reads.
I found this
http://www.csun.edu/~hcfll004/JP1.html

Here is one with the same back side but it is John Paul II
I can not find any of John Paul I with this back, maybe it is rare?
almost the same coin link

Default SILVER COIN ( Commerative)

The coin is Silver. It was made around 1983 and is a Commerative Coin.
Pieta on the Reverse side of the coin stands for the Florentine Pieta ( Sculpture Pictured) by Michael Angelo. It is from the Vatican in Rome.
It's worth would be not only as a Commerative but for Silver Content and I am not able to put a price on the coin for you. Nice Find !
I'll make all attemps to locate someone that can price it.

thanks pappy. I
have seen many with john paul II but hardly any with john paul I, wich may make it worth a little more, but I do not think it is worth more than a couple dollars, hope I am wrong, but that is the feeling I get. I hope you can help with it.

Where can I get the clad counter?

Thanks and Happy Hunting,
Joe Kerchner

One sold on eBay for $10.49 - there is another one that was sold from an Italian eBay page. Can't decipher it LOL

Here's a link to the eBay one: eBay: JOANNES PAVLVS I ROMA VATICAN ITALY SILVER COIN (item 320085104154 end time Feb-27-07 19:02:00 PST)

Nice find on a low mintage token
