Hi Pappy found this today looks like its made of copper small piece was found in the same hole and looks like it was attached to the back at one time Thanks for looking

It appears to be a ladies scarf slide. It was together at one time. When a lady placed a scarf around her neck she would then place the scarf through the loop and slide it up the scarf, then it would fit over a button to hold it in place.

Wow, that's a beauty! My guess is that it's a shoe clip. They were used to dress up plain shoes for dressier wear. Or I could be completely off. :) Personally I'd wear it at the collar of a white blouse if I had it.
