Default UNKNOW ITEM

PAT, The item appears to be made of zinc in the scan. It is possibly a personal i.d. tag of some sort. Does it have any markings on the back of any type? Possibly a club tag but I would think that it is a personal item that had some sentimental properties to the previous owner. I will keep on researching the symbol and will let you know what I find.....PAPPY :D :D :D

Default ITEM

PAT, THE EMBLEM ON THE FRONT IS A CELTIC "C" AND IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT IT IS A CLUB TAG. EACH MEMBER OF THE CLUB WOULD HAVE HAD ONE TO IDENTIFY THEM AS A MEMBER OF THE CLUB. I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I FIND OUT....PAPPY :D :D :D

Default SCAN

MOST FLAT ITEMS, PICTURES, COINS, BOOKS ETC. CAN BE SCANNED ON A SCANNER AND THE PICTURE SENT OVER TO YOUR DESKTOP WHERE IT CAN THEN BE SENT IN AN ATTACHMENT ON THE REPLY BOARD OF THE FORUM. OTHER ITEMS MAY HAVE A PICTURE TAKEN WITH A DIGITAL CAMERA AND THE SAME PROCESS TAKE PLACE....PAPPY :D :D :D

Hi Pappy....I guess I should of clearify more of what I was asking....I know what you mean about posting an attachment to the website. I was just asking how you knew what the material was made from by looking at the scan....is it just that many years of experience??

John

Default HEY JOHN

JOHN, Sorry I misunderstood you. Yes, I guess it is from many years of seeing different things while operating flea markets, auctions, dealing in antiques, research ,metal detecting and selling a whole lot of items. I'm around these kind of things just about every day of the year...Don't get some of them right but I get most of them....PAPPY :D :D :D
