Default Unknown items?!?

Found these three items in three different areas. The key is very thick and pivots at the handle end, the silver item is about the same diameter as a nickel and appears to be brass with a silver plating. It has threads and may be a knob of some sort. The other item (face) has posts on the back like it was made to mount on something ( a car emblem?). Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like he has little wings on his head/hat. Could it be Mercury the winged messenger??

I would say that Snakeman is on track in that it is probably an ornament from a Mercury Vehicle, probably in the 40's though I have not found one similar to it as of yet...Still trying...

The little key is rather common and goes to a small saftey box of some sort.

The small silver color object is probably a drawer pull of some sort.
