Default found info on gilt button

ep5-28-07 001.jpg

ep6-4-07.jpg It is a Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War button. Founded in 1881 as an affiliated order of the Grand Army of the Republic. The motto Gratia Dei Servatus, Latin for "Preserved (or Kept) by the Grace of God". Filii Veteranorum, "Sons of Veterans. Are on button but pretty much worn. Still if anyone knows its value, I'd appreciate it. Thanx, Skinnybones.

Default Geez!

Amazing that you found something so specific. Just makes me wonder what they were wearing with those buttons. If it was a uniform or what... Great job!
