Hi Dave
Have no clue as to what it is, But I like it. Very distinct Colors and design. From what I could see, it seems to be a Falcon Head on a body with its arms wrapped around a Shield. A keeper for sure. Got any more? D Wes Last edited by D Wes; 06-26-2007 at 11:15 PM. |

Not with the elephant on there like that. That's some form or fashion of a political party medal, keychain fob, pendant, something like that. They gave them away during campaigns or close to elections years ago-- sort of like they give away campaign buttons, yard signs, or bumper stickers nowdays. That design/image of a elephant is the symbol for the 'Grand Old Party', and was chosen originally for it's (percieved) long memory sometime in the 1900's. GOP is really a nickname. They are known nowdays as the Republicans, but they are still refered to as the 'GOP' quite frequently. They've changed the name a couple times, but the GOP, under one official name or another, has been around long enough that Thomas Jefferson was the party's first President. Perhaps their most famous President, although hardly anybody knows his party affiliation, was Abraham Lincoln. .
