Another Button?
I found this while looking through a very old barn on a farm in Southeast Virginia. The farm has been in use as far back as the 1820's from what I was told.
It looks very similar to some of the Confederate Civil War buttons I've seen online but I've been unable to find a definite match. The button is bordered by stars with an eagle clutching an anchor and what appears to be a paper scroll. It has a long pin attached as you can see from the pics so it's not a conventional button. On the back it says " Fine Quality " Seen one like this Pappy?

I have seen buttons such as this and it is probably a NAVY button from a Pea-Jacket during WWII.
