Default Metal Plate of some kind

I have posted this picture on another forum but.. But haven't found out exactly what it may be from..

Maybe you all can help....

I found this Item in a Park in Pittsburgh,Pa "Schenely Park"

I was informed that it may be from a RR But I tried looking for some info on this RR maybe even photos of what their hallmark or logo may have been

Shelbyville and Rushville Railroad

So if you can Help I'd appreciate it..

Dennis

Thanks,

At first I thought it may be a Civil war Relic...

But if it's from this RR co. It would actually be Pre-Civil war

and would be my Oldest find.. which is pretty cool

Well I talk with someone at the Local Historical society..

and they asked for a picture of it so that they can Foward it to the

Pennsylvania Room at the Main Library here in the Burgh..

So that I can get more info on it.. I thought that was pretty cool..
