Default 1800's ring

Pappy....Over the last couple of years I have found what appears to be 2 copper rings, no designs or nothing, just looks like bands. I'm not 100% sure they are rings but they do look like it. Was it common practice back then to have just plain copper rings, or should I think they are something else? HH........Bill

Default Copper Rings

Bill, yes it was a common thing back then for the Soldiers and Civ's. alike to have copper rings. Most of them were just plain copper bands of different thickness and size but there were ones made that had designs on them too.
Back then it was thought that copper was conductive to ward off pains. Well, come to think of it....same is thought today with magnetic copper bracelets, rings and copper chain bracelets.
More than likely where you hunt you have found copper rings.
