Default What do you think this is???

This small object is about the size of a dime. It reads "Great Seal of State of Oklahoma 1807." The back has a line across, like it was manufactured but otherwise is flat. Do you think this is part of a modern button or something else???

Default State Seal

Are you sure it does not say 1907? You may want to look at this site while I do a little more checking....

Hey Debby, the one in Pap's post has a 9 that could be mistaken for an 8. The tail sorta swoops under itself. Do you have a loop you can look at it with?

Default Oklahoma State Seal

You may want to look at this web site also. Oklahoma did not become a State until 1907.

I'm thinking it is newer as it has a line on the back that looks like a manufacturing mark. Maybe the date was purposely done that way so it looked like the seal...but really wasn't the seal. Appreciate everyone looking.

Or, maybe it's a mis-struck original and has some value to it!
