Default Need help IDing these circle things

Hi Pappy , Need a little help IDing this rings I raised my hand just one time to many at a estate sale and now I own these things, they are from the smallest to the largest 3 inches across and the large one is 5 inches and have a few in the middle, all look like they clamp on small angle iron , I bet someone out there has a idea what they may be, Thanks in advance........Jack

My husband says they look like the things that hold beakers over a flame. Like in chemistry class.

Default I believe they are....

holders for beakers, flasks and test tubes. They hold them in place over the bunsen burner's flame. Haven't seen those since chemistry class in college.

Sounds like a good call Julie, Now that you've mentioned it, I've seen what your husband is talking about years ago in chemistry class, just not rusted, they clamp to an upright!

As a PhD chemist, I can testify that you are all correct... no organic chem lab would be complete without such clamps! Interesting estate purchase...
