Default Large Coin - Collectable?

Hi Pappy....

Here's one for you.....

I found this 1 1/2" diameter coin quite a few years ago and have been hanging on to it ....

its shiny gold and very heavy.. so more than likely gold plated.. it has never tarnished....

Have any ideas????

thanks
JT

I see that the people on the site I found do not know if it is gold either.

JT...Take it to a Jewelry store near you and have them run a gold test on it. Will not take long at all to run the test and you may be pleasantly suprised...

I'll keep looking to see what else I can find...

Hi, I Hope It's Okay To Post This.. I Really Don't Want To Step On Any Toes Or Take Away Any Thing From Pappy.. Who By The Way Does Such An Excellent Job Identifying Items..But What You Have Is Commonly Called A Medallion And Is Made Out Of Bronze...Great Find Just The Same... Thanks
