I am thinking these are old buttons. I am not sure what kind of metal but they did not have any rust on them. The larger one is about 13/16" in diameter and the smaller one a hair over 5/8". They were found within about a foot of each other . The larger one appears to have a grid pattern of some type. They are both very thin.

The original land patent goes back to the 1600's. The smaller gray one possibly is made from Tombac. I think that possibly they both come from around the same time 1790's to 1800's. I am going to have to get my macro photography better. I never have taken pictures of much of anything except my woodturnings.
