Default silver??

hey Pappy, got a question for ya...iv'e been panning out some material i brought down from the mountain and have been seeing little silver flakes in it...does silver take the shape of flake ,like gold can?? i thought it could be just aluminum foil or something...but this stuff isn;t tarnished or weathered in any way. it shines in the sun and looks like gold leaf, only silver. any thoughts?? cory

Default Testing

Not unless you have a testing stone and some nitric acid and potassium dichromate. They call it JSP in jewelry stores. You can take a small sample by the jewelry store and maybe they can test it for you.

Default maybe not silver...

i think that it might only be slag from mining operations years ago because some of the stuff i found was in the shape of a stringy rivlet...perhaps zinc ...but still gonna have someone else look at it. still neat to see it flash in my pan though! later! c
