Default Metal Nugget

The city recently burnt down an very old house by where I live. I found this new open field a prospect. While detecting on it I found a large metallic nugget, silver is color, but unable to bend by hand( or cut with a knife). It does pass my iron discriminate, but I am at a loss of what kind of metal, or what exactly it is.

Could you let me know how to tell what kind of metal I found?

Thanks in advance!

Default Metal

Either the magnet test like Earl say's or you can take it by a jeweler and have him test it.

I dig something like that up all the time at different sites. Pickes up as coin, but just a melted chunk of metal. I always think it is aluminum or something like that that has been melted.

Default molten metal

If the city burned the old houseit could be nearly anything, last year in the paper here, forest fires swept through a small town in the mountains they showed the charred remains of a 4 wheeler and the engine and alloy wheels&etc.that were on it had molten into puddles on the ground below the metal frame. that was a hot dang fire!

I tested the metal with a large, high-powered neodymium magnet. Didn't stick what so ever.

Here is a high detailed picture of the metal

For what ever reason, it looks more brown in the picture, but its quite metallic silver.

I agree with the others. From the pictures it looks like wadded up aluminum foil from the fire. But what does it feel like weight wise?
