Thats what I thought Greg or maybe the hammer. But I'm just not sure. I found it in the front yard of one of the base houses.

I blew the photo up and it appears to be a trigger and hammer fixture off some type long gun..Can't say what type. What would it be doing where you found it?
Did someone bring in fill dirt from some other place and it was in it or do you think it has been there for sometime?...PAPPY

Thanks for your thoughts on this Pappy and Greg cause it is driving me batty!!! I'm not sure why it would have been where I found it. As far as fill dirt goes that is a possibility because most of this area was swamp or farm land before the houses were built. And as far as how long it might have been there I'm not sure because the oldest coin I've found there is from the 30's. So who knows... By the way I have another item I'll be posting shortly that is bugging me!!!!!
