Default Clay Marble or Not?

Pappy, I do believe I have a clay marble here, but I need your confirmation.
Heres the best I can do on a picture:
clay-marble-not-clay-marble.jpg
And if it is a clay marble am I correct that these are Native American? And age is probably 1800's?
Thanks in Advance.

Not necessarily native american. Indians made marbles, Marbles were made during the civil war,Grandpa used to make marbles, made during the colonial period...I even made some when I was a sprout.

Hey INDY,

Would be great it you found that off the coast somewhere. It's been a long time.....can't remember where I read it, but I understand pirates used to take gems and roll them into clay marbles when they were hiding their plunder.

You don't have a pair of X-Ray glasses, do you?

Hawk
