What kind of tool is this????

Hi Pappy , got to digging through some tools I had in storage and found this bender of some sort, looks like to bend wire or something , Me being a Hillbilly and all , I only use baling wire or duct tape and never seen anything like it , any help ????, thanks in advance.....Jack

My educated guess is that it looks to be a tube bender...Like the diameter of a rigid brake line on a car. Hope that helps. We use larger ones in the aviation community for hydraulic rigid lines (hydraulics are used for flight controls, kinda like power steering is to a car.)

That is a small tubing bender. You might be able to find what diameter tube it is for on the mandrel by the degree markings.

I agree...I went on an Imperial Eastman tool site (the name stamped on the tool in the picture)- and although the newer ones are "newer" designed - they look similar enough to identify the tool in the picture.

They're right. It's a small tube bender. I have one similar and have used it to bend stainless, aluminum, copper fuel lines or brake lines etc. Here're the instructions: Figure 5-6.—Bending tubing with hand-operated tube bender.

Yes it is a tube bender..I used to used them when I did the same type of work as Ric San...Now I just sand, prep and paint aircraft parts...Beat to fit, paint to match...Buster...
