found this today eyeballed it while I was detecting a demo'ed home in town must be an insulator for wiring of an old home? I know Ive seen one these before but cant pull it out of my ol memory banks anyway its glass and the center is threaded ,2 eyelets one at each end ,looks like maybe you could thread a wire through each side thanks Sam |

Hello my friend, mudwarrior here. I have been reading the forum about
insulators and I have over 500 of them. I don't need them but I kinda' enjoy looking at them..........maybe not as much as looking at that big bass that took your favorite plug tho'! (Big Grin)............. |

that's a radio strain, it would insulate the guy wire supporting a radio antenna should the antenna get struck by lightning. heres a little more info on them: Glass Radio Strain Insulators
