Shawnee has a listed KENTUCKY LIQUOR HOUSE SAM HARRIS PROP. SHAWNEE, O.T. GOOD FOR 5 C IN TRADE It books at $400.00 I have the new Oklahoma token catalog and have contributed some images to it. Default Nice Tokens

I'm not familiar with these particular tokens, but I do know that tokens of this type were used in the back-room card games at local general stores. If the place got "busted" there would not be any "poker chips" or money on the table! The store keeper would cash the tokens back in at the end of the game, minus the rake. The tokens were also a means to aquire some of the goods that some of them were originaly made for, for instance, in my chip collection I have a Palmolive token that was good for 2-for-one. This made the token worth as much in cash as one bar of soap.
