Default Bottles

Hey Pappy -

I've had these bottles for a long time and never had anyone look at them... are any of these old?

Thanks, but I really doubt I'll be quitting my job any time soon (well, for that reason, anyway)... my luck just isn't that good!

Colbalt Blue my favourite color the ribbed plain glass looks as though it could be pretty old.

Nice bottles Bob! One thing I know about them, the darker color the better.. Blue and black are worth more than clear and amber.. Hope that helps a bit..

Very pretty bottles. I don't know much (read, nothing LOL) about things like that, but the one on the far right looks just like (except for the color) some spice jars I have. Mine are modern with a glass and rubber stopper, but I wonder if yours had a cork stopper and held spices or medicines ?

Robert, I don't now a whole lot myself.... but I think they are old of they don't have the "seem" running down the side of the bottles.

if theres a seam running up into the lip, it's an ABM bottle, could be form anywhere from 1905 or so to today. If the mold lines dont run up to the lip, then it's a BIM (blow in mold) bottle, those are from before 1900 or so. Those bottles dont look too crazy, bottles are like insulators. Theres not really any color that says the bottles uncommon because theres allways a bottle thts suer rare but ina common color. Antique Bottles at Antique-Bottles.Net might be able to help, but i think you have to be a member to view the posts.... big help that is. The ribbed bottle does look a bit older, i cant quite tell though.
