Error Coin Pocket Treasure find
HEy Pappy, Im brand new to this site, so please excuse me for any wrongs.
I got this penny in change and it looks like a 1987d doubled die penny, and the second d is cut threw to the zinc center, I looked all over the internet and in a 2008 coin book but its not listed, any help would be spectacular. Thanks ahead of time,

Double Die
I have seen other pennies of this date that appear to be double die coins. This is what is known as a "Poor Man's Double Die". The die was loose when this coin was stamped and it caused the impression in the coin. Keep a check on E-Bay and you will probably find another like it. I have seen several on the e -bay site and they often go for as much as $20.00 at auction.
