Default tiny tank

Pappy,
Here's a little copper tank I found today. I think it's so cool. Any ideas on the background?

Oh, and as a side note. The little flange on the back end of this monster looks like a mark from the pour into the mold. There doesn't appear to be anything (like a loop) missing.

I know these were worn during WWII and after the war on Women's Charm Bracelets and I also remember some being included in Toy sets.
