Default Any ideas?

Ok, Pappy. Here's the scoop. I hit the old Cochiti Mining District yesterday and came up with a couple what's-its I could use some insight on. This area was mined in the late 1800's, prettymuch drying up in mid 1890s. I have what I think might be a part of some sort of large sheers that has stamped on it "BURGEN & BALL" in an arc about a crown, with a shield barely visible below. Also, I have what I suspect to be some sort of livery buckle? Your thoughts?

Doug - the shears seem familiar to me for some reason. I've been doing some research on the old mining operations around the original Deadwood, SD area - and it seems I found a reference to large shears...I may be mistaken, but I'll go back and see what I can find...

Doug, I am pretty sure the first photo is 1/2 of a sheep shear. Checking on the others.

The other item may very well be a leather catch off a horse saddle.

Pappy, your the best! Thanks for the input. I new the blade had to be some sort of sheer, but I never thought sheep sheer. Went back to the same area today and found my first IH (1906)! I'll post some pics later. Thanks again!
