Default Old Lock

Hey Pappy... Was wondering if I could get some information about this old lock I found over the week-end. I found this in our back yard (yes the wife is letting me dig the yard up) wrapped in plastic about 10" down. It almost looks like someone at one time burried it because like I said it was wrapped in plastic???? Who knows??? Any information would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks
Gary (Gunny)

Default Excellent find, Gunny!

Looks like an old railway lock in pretty good condition... Should definitely be worth something to a RR or lock collector.
Keep up the good work!

HH! -Tom

Default Lock

GARY, CREEK is right on the money with this one. REALLY NICE lock and in WONDERFUL condition. Why it was wrapped in plastic...I have NO IDEA unless it was new and lost before it had the chance to be used....PAPPY
