Default 2 buttons

Got 2 buttons here for you Pappy both are the size of a nickel with nothing on the front. One says old gilt. And the other says sutertine strong. Those arnt positive Id's but thats what I think they say. Both have shanks on them and the other buttons we have found at this site have dated to the 1860's if that helps. Still no coins there yet Pappy do you think there is any there Im begining to doubt it but the buttons are cool. Thank you Pappy I look forward to hearing from you. JW

J.W., I AM PRETTY SURE THE WAY YOU EXPLAIN THEM THAT THEY ARE FROM THE COLONIAL PERIOD. I AM GOING TO DO A LITTLE RESEARCH TOMORROW ON THE MFG'S. AND I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHAT I FIND OUT...PAPPY

Thanks Pappy I tried looking up the words but like I said I cant find anything. I know the one that says "old Gilt" Is correct and as for the one that says "Sutertine strong" I am not sure It could be butertine but I think I have it correct its pretty hard to say. There a nice piece of history at the least. HAve a good one Pappy Look forward to hearing from you. JW
