Bob:
I have no idea what that is, but congrats on the find. Pappy will be the one that may know what it is. He is pretty sharp. BTW Congrats again for your first post. This is the bestest forum on the net in my opinion. Glad to have you aboard, and lets keep those photos of your finds coming

That is so cute. If it was bigger I would say it is one of those Victorian calling card holders. Or is that a really big nickel? Welcome Bob. Pappy will come along and tell you exactly what it is.

Default Little Copper Thingy

WELL BOB, It's a little personal snuff box. From around the very early 1900's. Nice find. Where did you locate it? How deep was it?Might want to tell us the story behind it....PAPPY

Default another copper thingy pic

Thanks for the info Pappy! I found this in mid-Michigan at an old house that stands at the end of a stagecoach line. I also found a few IH`s there but unfortunatly, there is a very little area left in which to detect, the rest is all asphalt/concrete! Thanks for all the howdies & I`ll post my good finds! p.s I`ve been MDing on and off since the early 70`s and for me it`s not about what ya find, it`s the serenity of swinging!!!HH all
