Cleaning coins with R134 freon?
Had a buddy email me swearing he cleaned some silver coins with canned R134 like you put in a car's AC.
Anyone want to comment on this? One thing about it, coins would not be real easy to hold with them being so cold. I also think most R134 in the cans has a refg. oil mixed in. Kinda wondering if its not the oil that's doing the cleaning and the R134 is simply the by product? He's supposed to send some pictures. Says this stuff, warm soapy water, and a toothbrush made encrusted crud fall right off the coins and left them looking superb with ZERO scratches.
