Default fishing weight old or not?

Hey Pappy here's one for ya! My brother seems to think this is an older fishing weight, but he is not real sure... He is a fisherman all the way and said he has just never seen one like this before.

Can you give an age on this?

Thanks

Pat

Default Fishing Weight

PAT your brother is 100% RIGHT. I used to sell them in my bait and tackle shop. No it's not old. 1/2 oz. flat fishing weight used mostly for Flounder fishing but can be used with a three way drop line as well for any type suspended fishing....PAPPY

Default Fishing Weight

PAT, I'm pretty sure these type weights came into the market around the mid 1980's...PAPPY

It was found near a pond. Still has the string attached.

Thanks again Pappy!
