Default Haversack

ERIC, The Haversack was the messkit and "purse" for the Civil War Soldier. Haversack was once known as the "bread bag" in which he carried his rations and eating utensils. It was worn on the left side with the canteen and hung at the hip...PAPPY

Hey Pappy glad to hear that! I may finally be in that camp area that I have been searching for! I found these on top of a mound and there are 2 or 3 mounds 40 to 60 feet apart. Across the road there are more mounds. This area has been detected before. It is private property. Hoping to get access again! Maybe they left me a few good finds I hope! I will try and get a pic of the area if I can!

Was wondering what type of stake did they use for tieing tents down?

Thanks

Pat
