Default M1818 NCO sword question (w/ pics)

Attached is an M1818 Starr NCO Sword. I have researched the sword a little, but have been unable to find an estimate of it's value. There are a lot of M1818 Cavalry swords out there, but I have found very little on the NCO version (straight blade).
The blade edge is dull. The marks are NSTARR (manufacturer), LS (Luther Sage, inspector), V (?) on the blade which is has mild discoloration. The leather grip is at least 95% intact. The scabbard has some surface rust and pitting. It also has a 1.5 cm dent that does not affect servicability. The one big flaw it has: the piece that protrudes from the scabbard to attach it to the belt is missing-pulled off (sorry, I dont know the technical term for that piece).
Also included-German Mauser Bayonet. 1898 pattern, scabbard is stamped Cappel G.m.b.H. 1939 on the front. 244 g on the reverse. on the blade: 8155 on the front, S/155 on the reverse.
Thank you in advance for any info. Also, I had to modify the description a bit. Sorry I wasn't accurate enough initially.

Default Sword

The best care that can be taken of your sword is to coat it with a VERY LIGHT coat of 3 in 1 oil, a good grade gun oil or the Best that you can use if you can get it would be groundhog oil.
There were 10,600 M1818 straight blade swords mfg. Your's,without seeing a pic. would be estimated at between $1,000.00 and $1,200.00 considering the condition you say it is in.
You may want to do a little research on the weapon and if you have not already checked with the (ISCA) Internet Sword Collectors Association, I would do so. You can submit the information and photo of the sword and they will be happy to identify any markings or writing on the blade and also state you a fair market value on the sword. Wish I could be of more help...If I can...Let me know....PAPPY
