Default Spoon?

I don't believe that it used to be a spoon. I think it used to be a "Candle Snuffer" at one time and it would have had the Saint's name engraved on it such as St. Christopher. Check it really well to see if you can find a faint etching that say's either "St." or "Saint"...Don't think it contain's any gold...sorry....PAPPY

I have seen one of those before and I am pretty sure Pappy is correct in calling it a "Candle Snuffer".

Pappy and Boobie know more than I will ever know. Matter of fact, I may end up looking stupid again here. But here goes anyway. I had a spoon just like that when I was a bartender years ago. Mine was made for mixing drinks. It was brass with chrome plating, and probably 8-10 inches long. The spoon part was relatively thin, and round rather than egg shaped.
I was going to ask you where you found it... around a bar or a church. But if you were around a catholic church, it could be a candle snuffer OR a mixing spoon.

Default Item

Very Well could be a "PERSONALIZED" swizzle spoon. Exactly where did you locate the item? PAPPY
