Default What is this thing?

Hey Pappy,
Would you happen to know what this is? Found it on a site that had a house for servants quarters. Only hunted this place once. Waiting to clean things up and have the fields plowed and then will go back. I am going to add a second one as well. This stone was found at the sme location 20 years or so ago. Any ideas?

The front reads annual state fair and has the agricultural themed items. The back reads Schwaabses co. Milwaukee. It appears to be made of copper.

Default Fair Medal

CHIEF, I have found that the Schwab's County Fair first started in the year of 1914. The item is a "ANNUAL STATE FAIR MEDAL" that could be purchased at the fair. The fair medals were made in Milwaukee Wisc. I am making all attempts at the present time to find out just WHAT YEAR the medal is from. Will let you know as soon as i possibly can...PAPPY

Default Medal

Well Chief, as far as I can determine after some research the medal is from the 7th. Annual State Fair which would have been in 1921..PAPPY

Sorry, I could only give a guess. But maybe it was mounted in silver at one time. Maybe a brooch or necklace charm. It's very nice, regardless of it's ID. HH.

Default I've seen some "stones" like that one before before

Could your "stone" possibly be a cut glass button?? My grandmother used to collect them and the family has a display on loan at the moment to a museum in Houston. Some had eyelets attached with epoxy and some were sewn into a brooch like pouch with the eyelet on the back of the material. Some of the buttons we have are 1 1/2" or better in diameter.
