Default Silver thing

Pappy, can you help me with this? It is the same size as a half dollar and it it silver with the letter s all around the edge. The back looks like it used to be attached to something. any help would be appreciated.

It's a Silver "CONCHO" used to decorate hat bands, saddles, belts and other items.....PAPPY

Default Correct Me If I'm Wrong

Hey Pappy,
Correct me if I'm wrong. I thought Concho's had slots for leather straps to pass through. This piece appears to be a Rosette.
