It is a release hinge that came from at "TREET" Pump Sprayer.It was once attached to the top insert on the sprayer and used to release the pump pressure on the pump."TREET" is a Natural compound based fungicide which is applied to trees via the TREET SPRAYER.The TREET Company made the pump and the fungidide spray chemical....PAPPY They are still in business and it looks as though your item has seen some use so I would say it is from the 60's or early 70's.....PAPPY

THANKS BOOBIE BUT THERE ARE PLENTY OF THINGS I DON'T KNOW ABOUT. THAT IS WHY I PUSH THE ISSUE OF RESEARCH..RESEARCH..RESEARCH...YOU CAN'T BEAT IT.

You can pick up a lot of Knowledge from being around things such as those.
