I can help you out on this one. It is what I use to get a better look at the coins I dig. It was originally used to compare fingerprints for identification. Gives you a good look at the patterns for comparison purposes with good magnification. I have converted mine to use with coins.

Great! thanks for the replies. Although it will never be used again, its kinda neat. I use a regular jewelers loupe(round) and I can see that something that folds up like this would be a lot easier to use and transport. Again, thanks.
