It's called a "GASOLINE DOLLAR" and was distrubuted by the Amoco Oil Company in the mid 1930's as a token of customer appreciation...( AFTER YOU HAD PURCHASED A CERTIAN AMOUNT OF GOODS OR SERVICES) You could actually use it for a dollar's worth of gas....AMOCO is the present day BP...PAPPY
