Default Pappy

Pappy,
Got an off the wall question for you? Gold is currently over the $500 an ounce mark... Say you have a $20 gold coin (weighing 1ounce) and you have a handfull of "raw" gold nuggets (weighing 1 ounce) which would be worth more? Do raw nuggets command the same price as say coins, or the gold in jewerly? Why I ask for is Iam thinking about investing alittle in nuggets, (for a rainy day(retirement) and I don't know enough about it I guess to feel comfortable in doing it.... I told you it was off the wall!!

Gunny

Default Coins & Nuggets

GUNNEY, All in All the Coin would be worth more due to the fact that it has a date, was minted and has a monetary value designated to it. The one ounce coin and one ounce nugget would be worth the same in gold standards but the coin will increase in value ( as the years pass) quicker than the nuggets. Hope I haven't confused you too much but that is the only way I can explain it....Hope you are doing well and keeping safe...PAPPY

Default Gold, silver & platinum

Pappy, Gunny & All,
Just wanted to share with everyone an excellent site for current prices on gold, silver and platinum. Once you bring up the page, it will take a few extra seconds for the "ticker tape" to load toward the top of the page. This "ticker tape" seems to be updated every few minutes and the site contains much information about investments in these metals.
