Default Coca Cola Item

Pappy,

Wondering if you can tell me what this item is. I was out for a few minutes with my 4 year old so she could dig a few holes and found this in the area where I plant a small garden in the summer. Thought is was just a piece of flat metal til I washed it. It seems to be copper and rang up as a penny. It measures 1" by 1.5". It reads, "Drink Delicious Coca Cola". I did a little research and found out that was the 1909 slogan but what is it and what did it attach to? I was kinda thinking maybe a small watch fob. Any Ideas?

Thanks and a Happy New Year of Hunting to you.

Default Coke Item

CHIEF, I'm 99.99% sure that it is a watch fob...BUT that's not 100%. SOOOO I would suggest that you contact Murray Richards who is the President of the following coca-cola club that I am going to give you an e-mail for and submit a photo to him and he can identify it 100% I'm sure.

colaclubwa@auswebtech.com.au

You are right about it being from the 1909 era. They only used Four slogans for that time period and they were as follows:

1. Delicious, Wholesome, Refreshing
2. Delicious, Wholesome, Thirst Quenching
3. Drink delicious Coca-Cola
4. Whenever you see an arrow think of Coca-Cola.

Let me know what you find out from Murray....PAPPY

It looks like a real deal watch fob. This being a real one should be worth A LOT to a collector. These are reproduced all the time, but I have seen very few authentic ones.

Pappy,

Still no luck on a positive ID for this thing. Got a reply from the gentleman you sent me to but he had no idea. He directed me to the secretary of the Coca Cola Collectors Club in Atlanta. She just emailed and said it "may" be a watch fob but she has not found one to match the girl on mine. She did find one of a later year the same size. She is still looking and is gonna check with some others. Maybe I have a priceless one of a kind item.

Who made the bottles for Coke? Could it be a fob from that co.?advertising the fact that they make bottles for Coke? Or an award from Coke to that co.?
