Default Pappy can you help identify

Here is this token, coin or medallion I found. The closest I could get at identifying is a scroll medallion metal. Have no idea what this is or age or what it says! Can you give me any information on this item.

Thanks for any help!
Pat

Default Nice Little Find Pat

Well PAT, you have a very nice little find there. It is identified as a "CASH" (coin) from the Board Of Public Works Mint in China. It is classified as a Type A "Shan Lung" Commemorative and dates at 1820. It is made of Cast Brass. It is only valued at $.75 in VG condition but is still a very nice find...Congrat's..PAPPY

I stand corrected...It is indeed a COIN....PAPPY

Gotta put in my 2¢ worth. This is not a token or medallion, it is a for real coin, issued by the government of China for circulation. A lot of them were brought to the US by Chinese in the 1800s. John in ID
