i came across these 2 old bills...do you have any info on them? their worth perhaps?..also these military medals...one is from tiffany and co the other is from gorham, Thanks Lori could you email me at ladybug332200@yahoo.com

Here is a link about Texas Currency. I have seen several of these bills and some are replicas and some are not. The only sure way to find out if it is authenic you may have to get it verified by a reputable appraiser and if it is authenic, the Texas Bill will vary between depending upon a collector wanting to obatain the bill. The Confederate Note, if it is authenic, will bring a nice little sum among some of the Civil War crowd.

Pappy, I also have Horatio Fiskes military papers and a photo of him. Along with another set of papers for William Fiske ( which i believe is the father). I will take photos of those too and post this weekend...see whatcha think. And thank you to the 2 replies to my post.

LORI, With what I was reading concerning him, his Fathers name WAS William. I had a complete birth and death record. I'll try to find it again and post the site for you...PAPPY

Not sure about the one on the left but the one the right seems to be equivalent to the modern longevity service metal. You are awarded one every time you reenlist.
