Default Just saw your posting.

Here is a link about Texas Currency. I have seen several of these bills and some are replicas and some are not. The only sure way to find out if it is authenic you may have to get it verified by a reputable appraiser and if it is authenic, the Texas Bill will vary between depending upon a collector wanting to obatain the bill. The Confederate Note, if it is authenic, will bring a nice little sum among some of the Civil War crowd.

Default Items

The currency would be hard to determine if it is real or counterfeit without having it in hand. I would suggest that you take it to a museum and have the curator take a look at it. Should not cost you anything to have him/her tell you if it is real or not.
The first medal is from the Spanish War and is a Campain Medal awarded to Haratio Fiske. The second is a French Naval Medal. Both items appear to be in very clean good shape and I would say they would have some value in their condition. You can do a search on Haratio Fiske (Google) and find several sites that can furnish you with some information....PAPPY

Default Fiske

LORI, With what I was reading concerning him, his Fathers name WAS William. I had a complete birth and death record. I'll try to find it again and post the site for you...PAPPY

Default military Metals

Not sure about the one on the left but the one the right seems to be equivalent to the modern longevity service metal. You are awarded one every time you reenlist. Hope this helps.
