Default Crotal Bells.

Hey Pappy - I found these bells after I was trout fishing last week. I found a 1844 Large cent not very far from them. Any info on them? On the bottom they both say H S & C - I take it thats the makers mark? Then the big one has a 3 on it and the little one has a 1 on to it. I'm guessing thats the size. I tried looking for any info on the HS&C but to no avail. Sorry for the picture quality - I need to get a stand. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Davy

Default Crotal Bells

Dave, It's had to tell what year or century your Rumbler Bells are from. I would suggest you take them by a local or near by museum and have someone look at them and give you some information about them. Crotal Bells go all the way back to the 15th. century. The numbers are for the size and tone of the bell....VERY NICE FINDS...PAPPY
