Default Coins with holes in them (modern day)?

Hi Pappy.

I found these in the wood chips. So they most likely are modern day lost coins. What do you think? The pic shows both coins, front and back and the bigger one is about the size of a quarter.

ANT, The one with the round hole in it is from China and is known as a "Republic Cent" from 1936. In good condition it is worth $2.00. In Very good condition it is worth $5.00 and in Fine condition it is worth $10.00.It is composed of Brass.
The one with the square hole in it is from China and is a "EMPIRE" Board of Revenue Mint "PEKING CASH" from around 1909-1911 Emporer Hsuan T'ung. In good condition it is worth about $3.50.In Very good condition it is worth about $6.00 and in Fined condition it is worth about $8.00. It is also composed of brass.....PAPPY

thanks Pappy for info on the coin w/the square hole. i have one just like that i was going to ask about.mine is dull (like an old penny) not bright, but in good shape. should i clean it or leave it as is.
