Hi Pappy , sorry to just keep on wanting to know but this thing has me stumped and hoping that u or some of the others on the forum may have a idea, i found it in a old house in the loft several yrs ago when i could get around better and wondered then and still today what is it? looking forward to learning what it is, thanks again in advance.......Jack

Hi Pappy well it is wood and measure about 3/4 across and just about 3/4 inche long. they have a slight shape of little wood barrels, and looks to me it hung on a wall at one time way back when....Jack

JACK, You are right about it hanging on the wall...Or better yet it hung on the window sill just outside the window. It is a clothes line reel. From around the 1920-1930's. Hung just outside the window sill and another hung across the street or the next apt. over to put your clean washed clothes on to dry. It is the only means they had in the city to dry clothes during that time....PAPPY...UPTOWN!!!
The rollers were usually made of bone, stone or porcelin.

Thanks Pappy been wondering for a while , now my wife has a new clothes dryer, oh lucky her, and i have a varible speed washing machine and portable may a little problem getting her or anyone to use it, things are looking up here in Arkansas, thanks agian.....Jack
