Pappy, another question about cleaning clad quarters and clad dimes . I bought a nice tumbler i soak them in ammonia , and i use a glass plate with arm and hammer washing soda, i boil the water , i put the quarters on a pcs of tinfoil as you suggested pour on 2 spoon fulls of soda , add the boiling water till their covered about an inch i wait till the fizzing is stopped ,( doesnt fizz that much) i rub them with baking soda paste , then i put them in the tumbler for about an hour as the instruction say with the tumbler and still the dimes dont lose the stain and not much better with the quarters , am i doing somthing wrong ? any help would be great , thanks from dave .
